My son and I build, paint, and play many different miniature wargames. From Age of Sigmar to Warmachine, we have a lot on our hobby table right now. Unfortunately we are short on time and limited in space. So how do we solve our problem when it comes to painting? We made our own wet palette!
List of supplies: plastic food storage bin, dish sponge, parchment paper, scissors, and a little water.
We bought the generic brand and paid $1.99 for two of them.
I trimmed the corners off the sponges so they would fit better. We bought a pack of four for $0.89.
The parchment paper was the most expensive item at $3.99. But one sheet is enough to make 3-4 of these palettes. This might last us years!
Wet the sponge and place the parchment paper on top.
By my calculations, each wet palette costed us $1.64. Plus, it was a DIY project we could do together that helps us in our hobby. If you aren't already using a wet palette, go ahead and give this idea a try!
